Tennessee Trip!

We had so much fun on our Tennessee trip! It was great to spend some time back in the Nashville area. Our drive took us through Arkansas, which was a first for me and the kids so we had to document it. We saw some really pretty scenery between here and Nashville. Arkansas was nice enough that we think we may try some camping there next year. I'm not much for camping, but we'll see.

We visited a really cool pumpkin patch on Friday. Leah kept talking about how we were going to the farm to see the animals and the pumpkins, but all she wanted to do when we got there was play on the little plastic slide.

Trindon had a blast at the pumpkin patch. He loved sitting on the ground posing for all his pictures.
As usual Trindon has spit-up on his shirt.
We couldn't convince Uncle Bob to visit "the farm" with us, and since that was the only time I had the camera out we failed to get a picture of him with the kids.

Fashion show, pony tails and time out!

Fall has arrived (sort of) so this means the kids get new clothes!! I'm sure there will be a few pics posted over the next few weeks of all the cute new clothes. I of course get way more excited about new clothes than they do. I absolutely love this sweater! No, I did not make her wear it with shorts. We were just trying it on to make sure it was okay to take on the Tennessee trip. Of course it probably won't be cold enough in Tennessee to actually need a sweater, but she will look cute wearing it and sweating.
First ever ponytail containing all the hair on her head!! It looked so cute even if it only lasted a few minutes. She has a major hangup about everyone wearing their hair down. If I dare put my hair in a ponytail I have to put up with hearing "mommy hair down" all day long.
This is the event that lead to the timeout. I asked Leah if I could bring the piano into the living room for Trindon to play with and she said "sure". He was having fun playing for a few minutes, but then I guess Leah decided he was done so she came in and pushed him over and then tried to step on him.
This is the resulting time out. Cheesing it for the camera even when she's in trouble.
I made this rag wreath over the weekend. I'm really happy with how it turned out, but it was much more time consuming than I anticipated. Fun to do something crafty once in a while.

We're headed to Tennessee tomorrow. So excited to get to go back to Nashville! I'll try to post something while we're there.

We had a good flight home and the kids traveled very well. The funniest part of the trip home was when Leah told half the airport "I farted". Needless to say we were pretty embarrassed and we sent her to get the car with Phil while I collected the bags so we could spare ourselves any further embarrassment. We had such a good time in Utah. Thank you to everyone who housed us, fed us, entertained us, drove us around, babysat, etc. We really appreciate everyone taking such good care of us.

Both the kids were so happy to have all their toys back. They played tea party together on Monday afternoon, Leah thinks it's pretty fun that Trindon can "play toys" with her now. Leah's developed a fondness for wrestling and when I asked her who taught her how to wrestle she told me Allyson at Angemom's house. Trindon might need to start watching WWF so he knows how to defend himself.

Tea Party!
Trindon man is learning to drink from a cup and trying his darndest to crawl. It won't be long before he's very mobile.

We are so happy that it's October!! Fall is my favorite season and I always get in the mood to bake. Today we made pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. Leah loved them! She kept saying "more cookies, more cookies!" I made her stop after three.

Welcome to the Baker Family blog!

I decided I would try blogging to keep everyone who is interested updated on what is going on with us and the kids. It was so nice to visit with family and friends this past week, but it just made me realize how much everyone misses in our kids lives when we only see them once a year. I also thought this would be a good way for me to keep a family journal and scrapbook for us to capture our memories. My plan is to update this weekly, or more often if I have something to say, and hopefully you enjoy it. If you want to follow it, but won't remember to check it on your own you can enter your email address to the right and you will receive an email when there is a new entry. I think the emails will contain the text, but not the pictures so you may want to check the actual blog site for the pictures. I'm new to this "blogging" thing so please bear with me while I figure it all out. Also, I will still be updating the Shutterfly site monthly with lots of pictures.
